What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Dance Instructor position at Inspired Dance Academy?
Inspired Dance Academy is a mobile studio looking for dance instructors to teach children creative movement, gymnastics & dance in a fun, upbeat and creative way. Instructor should be an organized individual who feels confident instructing classes, conversing and building a rapport with school directors, administrators, parents, and students!
A successful instructor is:
- Prepared for every class with a clear plan of what to teach (lesson plans provided)
- Communicates very well
- Availability weekdays (mornings, afternoons)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- LOVES young children
- Wants to have fun while at work
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Attend every class, fully prepared, dressed appropriately, & with teaching materials and props.
- Effectively teaches students the lesson plan and has fun doing it!
- Develop a positive rapport with every contact at the dance class location
- Communicate all pertinent information with the IDA director
- This position includes traveling to locations: Driver license and personal car preferred
Schedule and Hourly Rate:
- This position is part-time, you are expected to work approximately 1-5 hours a week with room to grow.
- Currently looking for candidates who can teach in suburbs of Illinois around Oak Brook area.
- IMMEDIATE HIRE: Afternoons Tuesday(La Grange), Wednesday (Burr Ridge) & Thursday (Oak Brook) all are around the 3-4pm range.
- Hourly Rate: $30-$50 per hour depending on education level.
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
- Dance: 1 years
- Gymnastics: 1 year (preferred but not required)
