Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children's curiosity and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their development.
- Facilitate daily activities that support physical, emotional, and social growth, including arts and crafts, storytelling, and outdoor play.
- Maintain classroom management by establishing clear rules and expectations while promoting positive behavior among students.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support each child's individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their growth through caregiving activities.
- 30 hours of STARS training is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- 30 hours of STARS training
- First aid certification
