Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing daily camp activities that promote fun, learning, and personal growth.
- Supervise children during various activities, ensuring safety and positive behavior management at all times.
- Support classroom management by maintaining organized activity spaces and encouraging respectful interactions among campers.
- Provide first aid when necessary, following proper protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with lead staff to implement inclusive programs tailored to children with special needs or specific learning requirements.
- Foster a supportive environment by engaging children in sports, arts, theater, or other recreational pursuits that enhance childhood development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress or concerns while maintaining confidentiality.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development strategies to support diverse learning styles.
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure safety during all activities.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management skills to promote positive conduct.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive settings is a plus.
