Duties
- EDDA experience required.
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Take digital radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the office.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
Skills
- Strong restorative skills.
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Familiarity with dental coding for accurate billing and insurance claims processing is a bonus!
- Knowledge of endodontics, general dentistry, and dental terminology to assist effectively in various treatments.
- Understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures.
- Experience with dental imaging technologies to assist in diagnostic processes.
- Ability to work with electronic health record systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
