As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll provide essential early intervention services to children ages two through seven, supporting their development in a nurturing environment.

Working under the guidance of licensed Occupational Therapists, you'll be part of an interdisciplinary team that includes BCBAs, SLPs, and RBTs, fostering a collaborative space where ideas are shared and successes are celebrated.

Compensation

$50,000 yearly

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists to implement individualized therapy plans that support each child's unique developmental needs.
  • Engage children in therapeutic activities designed to enhance motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills in a fun and supportive environment.
  • Monitor and document each child's progress, providing valuable insights and feedback to the therapy team to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe, encouraged, and motivated to reach their full potential.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and support to help them reinforce therapy goals at home.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, sharing observations and contributing to the development of comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming therapy space that promotes learning and engagement for all children involved in the program.

Qualifications

  • Experience in working with children, particularly those with autism, in a therapeutic setting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with licensed Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record of engaging children in activities that enhance motor skills and sensory processing.
  • Strong communication skills to provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers.
  • Ability to monitor and document progress, offering valuable insights to the therapy team.
  • Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for children.
  • Organizational skills to maintain a clean and welcoming therapy space that promotes learning.
