MAJOR FUNCTION: The Chief Therapist is responsible for the clinical leadership and daily operations of the Radiation Oncology departments at The Leading-Edge Cancer Center in Mullica Hill and The Frank and Edith Scarpa Cancer Pavilion in Vineland. This position reports directly to the Director, Radiation Oncology and works under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of the Oncology Service Line. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, adherence to accreditation standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position combines clinical expertise with administrative oversight, ensuring that Radiation Therapists and staff adhere to best practices in treatment delivery, simulation, and quality assurance. The Chief Therapist works closely with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and Dosimetrists to maintain exceptional treatment accuracy and patient safety. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Experience: •Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program. •Bachelors (in lieu of Bachelors degree, min. 15 years of Radiation Therapist experience would be considered) required. •Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. •Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist. •Experience leading accreditation efforts (ASTRO APEx, ACR, or similar) preferred. •Experience in quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. •Strong leadership and team-building abilities. •Expertise in radiation therapy workflows, treatment planning, and accreditation processes. •Expertise with Varian and MOSAIQ. •Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements, including NRC, OSHA, and CMS guidelines. •Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Certification/ Licensure: •ARRT (T) certification in Radiation Therapy required. •NJDEP Radiation Therapy required.?>
