B&M Machine Company is a family-owned manufacturing shop with more than 75 years of craftsmanship and a strong reputation for quality. Operating from a 10,000-square-foot, climate-controlled facility, B&M Machine specializes in jobbing work with brass, aluminum, and stainless steel, supported by modern CNC mills, Mazak lathes, Mastercam CAD/CAM, and a full range of grinding, finishing, sawing, and manual machining equipment.
We’re seeking a dependable, hands-on Shipping & Receiving professional who can take ownership of packing, shipping, receiving, and deliveries while using good shop sense to pitch in wherever needed. To thrive/succeed as the Shipping & Receiving, you should have:
- Driver's license and clean driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
- Forklift training (or willingness to learn).
- Lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Punctuality, self-starting, and willingness to take direction.
- Good attitude and a willingness to learn — manufacturing/warehouse background is a plus but not required.
Your responsibilities as the Shipping & Receiving will include:
- Lead all shipping, receiving, and materials operations, including loading/unloading trucks, packing shipments, processing receiving tickets, and generating packing lists.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials, parts, and supplies are properly organized and readily available.
- Perform visual inspections of parts prior to shipment to help ensure quality standards and accurate, on-time delivery.
- Handle customer pickups and deliveries using the company van while professionally representing the company in a customer-facing role.
- Support finishing and assembly processes, as well as picking, packing, and preparing e-commerce orders for shipment.
- Learn and utilize the company’s ERP software to produce work documents and shipping labels, process receiving information, and assist with minor purchasing activities.
- Assist with building maintenance while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment; independently identify issues and take corrective or preventative action as needed.
