Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Cloud Security Engineer with deep AWS security expertise to join a collaborative enterprise security team. This role will initially focus heavily on securing and enhancing AWS cloud environments while partnering with infrastructure and security teams to strengthen the organization's overall cloud security posture. A solid cybersecurity engineering background is required, but AWS cloud security experience is the primary focus.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support cloud security solutions within AWS environments.
- Partner with cloud and infrastructure teams to improve cloud security posture and governance.
- Perform security reviews and contribute to cloud security architecture and design initiatives.
- Evaluate and enhance cloud security controls, monitoring, and protection capabilities.
- Support IAM, vulnerability management, incident response, SIEM, and cloud security initiatives.
- Participate in enterprise cybersecurity and cloud transformation projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance on cloud security best practices.
Qualifications
- 6 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on AWS cloud security experience.
- Experience securing cloud environments, identities, workloads, and data.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Cloud Security, Security Architecture & Design, IAM, SIEM, Firewalls, Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, IDS/IPS, DLP.
- Experience with DevSecOps and/or CI/CD security practices preferred.
- AWS Security, CCSP, CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications are highly desired.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives.
