Insomniac’s Clubs Division is focused on creating a best-in-class experience for our Headliners. Our expanding roster of club partners includes some of the world's top venues, delivering performances from globally renowned DJs backed by top-notch sound and visuals. The diverse calendar of events celebrates the electronic dance music community and culture, offering an endless range of experiences.

Insomniac Clubs is a separate entity from Insomniac Events, focused on curating and managing unique nightlife experiences. While we share a passion for music and creating unforgettable experiences, Insomniac Clubs operates independently from Insomniac Events and has its own payroll, benefits and organizational structure.

THE ROLE:

Insomniac Clubs is currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive Senior Multimedia Designer with strong design sense and impeccable attention to detail to join our dynamic team. This fully in-person role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in graphic design, branding, and print production to develop engaging visual content across digital and print platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior designers, art directors, creative directors, and cross-functional teams to create visually compelling designs that align with brand identity and project objectives. Responsibilities include designing campaign deliverables, ensuring consistency across formats, and finding effective design solutions. We are looking for a passionate designer eager to grow their skills and contribute to a high-impact creative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Their duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assists the Art Director in managing the creative team
  • Hire, guide, and train junior and mid-level designers, providing feedback and best practices to elevate the overall quality of design output.
  • Develop and improve the process of creative team production for the marketing department
  • Collaborates with Marketers and the Art Director and provides a reasonable schedule and/or a timeline for each project requested.
  • Streamlines all project requests and distributes them among the creative team members.
  • Keeps track of all active creative projects and constant gauge of the creative team’s capacity efficiency and accuracy.
  • Looks for resources needed to accomplish creative projects.
  • Facilitates regular meetings with the creative team. The meetings includes project status updates, team bandwidth and brainstorming for projects.
  • Approves all creative files before sending to the Art Director for final approval
  • Acts as a point of contact of the creative team.
  • Sends out updates of team and projects to necessary Marketing and Creative team

members.

  • Manage creative team's hours, schedules and shifts to maximize efficiency and ensure coverage.
  • Design and produce high-quality multimedia content, including graphics, illustrations, and print materials, to support marketing and branding efforts.
  • Ensure all visual assets adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and compelling visual identity across all platforms.
  • Develop print-ready designs for flyers, packaging, posters, and marketing collateral, ensuring precision in layout, color, and typography.
  • Create visually engaging graphics for websites, online campaigns, presentations, and interactive media in collaboration with teams.
  • Oversee multimedia projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative design ideas, leveraging expertise in visual storytelling.
  • Apply advanced design techniques, typography, and color theory to create visually appealing and effective layouts.
  • Provide creative direction to junior and mid-level designers, ensuring design consistency, quality, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Perform image editing tasks such as cropping, resizing, retouching, and color adjustments to enhance the visual appeal of designs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather requirements, and ensure high-quality design execution.
  • Implement necessary updates and refinements to existing designs based on feedback and project requirements.
  • Maintain a structured file system, ensuring proper version control and accessibility for the team.
  • Support onboarding and training new team members

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6 years of experience in graphic design, multimedia, branding, print or related fields.
  • 2 years of experience in managing creative teams
  • A degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and familiarity with design principles, layout, and typography. Proficient Mac user.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop unique design concepts that effectively communicate messages and evoke desired emotions.
  • Strong eye for detail and the ability to deliver accurate and precise designs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project requirements.
  • Understanding of printing techniques, color management, and pre-press requirements.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving design trends, technologies, and project requirements.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design capabilities and demonstrating your understanding of design principles and techniques.
  • In addition to the requirements mentioned above, proficiency in sketching, illustration, video editing, and 3D modeling, is highly desirable for this role. The ideal candidate should also possess developing skills in photo retouching, photo manipulation, and compositing. These additional skills will be considered a significant advantage in the selection process.

· Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

· Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines

Pay Range: $75,000-90,000 per year

CA - Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the California Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements Law. It is estimated based on what a successful California applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Exchange takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
