🚀 What You'll Do
As a key member of our Tax Team, you will play an integral role in ensuring tax compliance, accuracy, and excellence for a wide variety of clients. Your day-to-day will include:
🧾 Tax Return Preparation & Review
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciaries
Ensure all returns are completed accurately and timely
📚 Tax Planning & Research
Advise clients with strategic tax planning throughout the year
Research and interpret current tax laws and regulations to support client decision-making
🗂️ Client Relationship Management
Communicate directly with clients to address inquiries and uncover planning opportunities
Provide proactive guidance to ensure clients remain compliant and tax-efficient
🤝 Team Collaboration
Partner with colleagues on accounting and advisory engagements
Contribute to a culture of learning and mutual support
📈 Stay Current
Monitor and stay up-to-date on tax law changes, trends, and best practices
Continually expand your technical knowledge through CPEs and internal resources
🎓 Education & Credentials:
B.A./B.S. in Accounting
CPA or EA certification preferred (or actively pursuing)
🧠 Experience & Skills:
2-4 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
Strong understanding of tax codes and compliance
Proficiency in tax prep software like UltraTax, ProSystem fx, and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication, analytical, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
$85,000 annually (based on experience & qualifications)
