Role Summary
You own how live experiences look in the room. You’ll design and lead the visual capture of live worship nights, sessions, tours, and documentary moments. You build a repeatable camera system that local shooters can plug into in any city.
What You’ll Do
- Design camera plots, lens choices, and visual approaches for:
- Live worship nights
- In-studio sessions
- BTS and docu-style storytelling
- Operate camera on key shoots and direct local crews on the road.
- Create a “camera bible” (framing, settings, LUTs, movement rules) for consistency.
- Collaborate with lighting and production to make sure the room feels cinematic, not sterile.
- Work with the Senior Editor to ensure footage is captured in a way that cuts well for both long-form and vertical content.
- Manage gear strategy: what we own, what we rent, how we pack, and how we protect it.
What You’ll Bring
- 5 years shooting live events/concerts/sessions.
- Strong familiarity with cinema cameras (Sony/Canon/RED/Blackmagic, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead small crews and communicate clearly.
- Comfortable in church/worship environments where moments can’t be repeated.
- Understanding of what plays well in vertical vs. horizontal framing.
Bonus Points
- Experience with multi-cam broadcast or live streaming.
- Photography experience for stills on set and tour.
- Comfortable collaborating with AI post workflows (knowing what helps downstream).
