Duties
- Assist licensed physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Support patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and mobility activities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitised and ready for use.
- Educate patients and their families on post-treatment exercises and home care routines.
- Maintain accurate records of patient sessions in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in hospital settings, preferably with paediatric or specialised patient groups such as pediatrics.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse patient populations.
- Relevant qualification as a Physical Therapist Assistant recognised within the UK healthcare system.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient records.
