Pay Range: $65–$75/hr (W2)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at a Skilled Nursing & Rehab facility in Camden, ME. This role is ideal for a strong nurse leader who excels at staff management, regulatory compliance, and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to all nursing personnel and clinical operations
- Develop & implement short- and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Establish, update, and enforce nursing policies and standards of care
- Oversee admission processes, nursing workflows, and patient care delivery
- Manage departmental budgets and accurately track expenses
- Respond promptly to nursing-related issues and serve as clinical escalation point
- Collaborate with medical staff and all facility departments to ensure operational efficiency
- Ensure accurate, timely record-keeping and compliance with documentation standards
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train nursing staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and prepare detailed reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Director of Nursing or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and legal compliance standards
- Active nursing license and CPR certification
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
