About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Operations Associate to join our Loan Servicing and Debt Recovery team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing bankruptcy timelines, overseeing attorney activity, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines. You’ll work closely with attorneys, trustees, and bankruptcy courts to help protect company assets, minimize losses, and improve operational performance.

What You’ll Do
- Monitor and manage bankruptcy loan activity to ensure compliance with all regulatory, state, and investor requirements.
- Review and approve legal documents; coordinate with counsel for motions and trustee actions.
- Process Proofs of Claim and Transfers of Claim within strict deadlines.
- Review debtor schedules and repayment plans to ensure payments are properly posted.
- Manage contested files and lien strip cases.
- Handle debtor complaints from start to resolution, including CFPB and BBB submissions.
- Support licensing functions (quarterly/annual reporting, state exams).
- Assist with service of process requests via email and the CSC portal.
- Manage State Licensing exams for mortgage servicing and debt collection licenses.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in bankruptcy and 4 years in mortgage servicing (default servicing required).
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of PACER and payment history reconciliation.
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities; excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, with sound judgment and the ability to work independently.
