Patient Care Liaison - STAR Court (Juvenile Treatment Coordination)
Location: Insight Northwest Recovery – Salem Oregon
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (30-40 hours/week)

About Insight Northwest Recovery
Insight Northwest Recovery (INR) is a behavioral health organization specializing in co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment for ages 12 including adolescents and young adults. We partner with families, community agencies, and courts to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care that supports lasting change.
INR is contracted with Marion County to provide intensive outpatient and services for youth participating in the Supervised Treatment and Recovery (STAR) Court, a Juvenile Treatment Court program.
About the Role
The Patient Care Liaison – STAR Court is the central coordinator between STAR Court, Insight Northwest Recovery clinicians, youth, and caregivers. This role is a non-clinical role, focused on:
- Coordinating referrals, assessments, and treatment start dates for STAR Court youth.
- Supporting communication between court staff, probation officers, treatment providers, and families.
- Ensuring accurate and timely data entry in the Treatment Court Management System (TCMS) Reconnect and INR’s Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Representing INR at STAR staffing meetings, court hearings, and related collaborative meetings in Marion County.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured coordination work, has strong follow-through, and wants to support justice-involved youth in a positive, trauma-informed way.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate STAR Court referrals, assessments, and treatment schedules (IOP, OP, and after-care) for youth and families.
- Serve as the main liaison between STAR Court, probation, INR clinicians, and caregivers to ensure clear, timely communication.
- Attend STAR Court staffings and hearings, providing concise updates on treatment engagement, attendance, and progress.
- Maintain accurate weekly documentation in TCMS Reconnect and INR’s EHR, including attendance, excusals, and required reporting.
- Track youth progress through levels of care and promptly communicate changes in status (e.g., IOP → OP, residential, discharge).
- Support youth and families in navigating program expectations and practical barriers (e.g., scheduling conflicts).
- Participate in STAR-related meetings and trainings; contribute to process improvements and contract compliance with Marion County.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or Bachelors degree preferred, particularly in a health or human services field
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare front desk, behavioral health, or client-facing administrative role
- Proficiency in EHR systems and general office software
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive client matters with discretion and professionalism
