Administrator
Under direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Administrator is responsible for the day to day onsite management of the Day Center including management recreational activities, clinical care, personal care, social work and management of center team members. The Administrator is responsible for creating and fostering an environment that promotes the well-being of participants, professional growth and development of team members, continuous improvement of processes, and delivery of excellence in services and business results. The Administrator is also responsible for having a full understanding of state regulations and ensuring compliance. The Administrator will oversee the Day Center budget. They will work with the team to maintain a high degree of participant satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high quality services of all care. The Administrator also ensures the Center physical plan is up to standards through the frequent inspections that meet IMCC’s standards of excellence. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, gerontology, organizational management or a related field.
- Virginia DSS Administrator license or candidate for the Administrator-In-Training program in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Experience
- At least five years of demonstrated leadership experience, five years in dementia care oversight, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to read, write and understand the English language.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 20 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis (occasionally up to 50 pounds); Full use of gross and fine motor skills of the upper and lower extremities (i.e., typing on a keyboard, use of a computer, mailings, etc.); Ability to drive a vehicle and navigate effectively in service region.
