POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Director is responsible for leading sales efforts, building relationships with potential residents and families, and implementing effective sales strategies to drive community occupancy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the entire sales department, ensuring all sales activities align with the facility's strategic goals.
- Develop comprehensive sales strategies and plans to increase facility occupancy and meet revenue targets and collaboration with senior management.
- Schedule and facilitate tours with prospective residents and families.
- Manage prospect pipeline and cultivate relationships with prospective residents through outreach efforts including phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication.
- Train and mentor the sales team, as relevant, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Analyze market trends and competitor data to adjust sales tactics and strategies, effectively ensuring the facility remains competitive in the market.
- Manage key relationships with external partners, such as healthcare partners, local community groups and business organizations to enhance referral opportunities.
- Coordinate with the marketing department to ensure that promotional materials and advertising campaigns are effectively driving interest and conversions.
- Monitor and adjust budgets related to sales activities, ensuring resources are optimally allocated for maximum return on investment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations affecting sales practices within the facility.
- Report regularly on sales progress, challenges and strategic shifts required to achieve targets.
- Manage high level negotiations and close deals with potential residents and their families, providing personalized solutions to their needs.

Additional Information:
- Eligible to earn up to $100,000 in performance-based bonuses, depending on occupancy levels.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Extensive experience in sales or marketing management, typically several years with a proven track record of achieving sales targets, preferably within the healthcare or senior living industry.
- Extensive leadership experience demonstrating successful management of a sales team.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic sales plans and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Strong background in customer relationship management, particularly in settings that involve sensitive client interactions, such as with families and elderly clients.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing principles specifically tailored to the healthcare or senior living industry.
- Understanding of the regulatory and legal environment of assisted living facilities, ensuring compliance in all sales and marketing activities.
- Awareness of local market dynamics and competitor activities essential for strategic planning and maintaining competitive advantage.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills to create, implement and monitor effective sales strategies.
- Expert communication and interpersonal skills to effectively negotiate with potential residents and their families and to maintain strong professional relationships.
- Ability to drive and achieve sales targets ensuring the facility’s occupancy and revenue growth.
- Capability to mentor and develop sales team members including middle management, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and projects, ensuring that all sales activities align with the broader organizational objectives.
