What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Technologist (1 year of experience required) position at INSIGHT IMAGING?
We are an outpatient radiology office in Grass Valley, CA. We are seeking a dependable, experienced, and caring Mammography Technologist. This is a full time position Monday-Friday. Typical hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm and no nights/weekends
Responsibilities include:
- Explain exam procedures to patients in a professional and concise manner
- Perform high quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams with high level of expertise
- Monitor patient's well being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action
- Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process
- Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management
- Navigate the image storage system to send, review, manipulate, and print images, and resolve exceptions when needed
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, thorough, and organized
- Excellent patient service and written/oral communication skills are a plus
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic technologist (ARRT) (R) (M) License required
- Current California (M) (R) license
- Current CME's
- Valid CPR card
- Shot records
