Adrian Schools Educational Foundation (ASEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Adrian, Michigan. ASEF provides financial support to improve students' educational opportunities and experiences while at Adrian Public Schools. It operates independently of the Adrian School District with the sole mission of supporting the District's educational excellence. It is governed by a volunteer board of trustees consisting of parents, alumni, and community, educational, business and industrial leaders. The Foundation was formed in 1987. For the past nearly 40 years, many notable leaders and alumni have served on the board and continue to move this organization forward.

Position Summary
The ASEF Executive Director (ED) is a decisive leader, creative communicator and project coordinator capable of fostering donor and community relationships. The ED is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial leadership of Adrian Schools Educational Foundation, its programs, fund development, and creating and maintaining a favorable relationship with Adrian Public Schools, its alumni and community of supporters. The ED is the primary fund developer with income goals, budget development and management responsibilities. The ED ensures that the mission of ASEF, to support the educational excellence of Adrian Public Schools, is achieved.
The ED serves as the primary representative of the organization to the community, donors, and partners, fostering collaboration and building support for ASEF's programs and initiatives.
Qualifications - The ideal candidate for this position should have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in nonprofit or education fundraising experience.
Attributes & Responsibilities:
- A strategic thinker and has the ability to establish annual and long-range goals for the Foundation.
- Responsible for reaching annual fundraising goals through a variety of mechanisms including mail and personal visits.
- A key communicator with a variety of constituents including the ASEF Board of Directors, APS superintendent, teachers, alumni and members of the Adrian community.
- The face of the ASEF in the community and with AHS alumni.
- Responsible for setting and adhering to an annual budget.
