OVERVIEW
Seeking a Senior RF Electrical Engineer to support development of a flagship platform (T-Cube Cast). This is a hands-on RF design role where you’ll own key portions of the radio chain - contributing from system-level architecture down to component-level design, layout, and test. You’ll play a critical role in bridging junior and senior talent on the team, helping drive design decisions while actively building and validating RF hardware.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Own design of key transmitter or receiver sections, from block diagram through detailed schematic and layout
- Perform RF/analog circuit design across the full signal chain (front-end, up/down conversion, synthesizers, etc.)
- Derive hardware requirements from system-level specifications and translate them into functional designs
- Develop gain budgets, noise analysis, and filtering strategies to meet performance targets
- Perform lab testing, validation, and/or simulation modeling to verify performance
- Support EMI/EMC and environmental qualification (DO-160, MIL-STD)
- Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software teams to meet performance and integration goals
- Participate in design reviews and present technical findings to leadership and customers
- Support design verification, peer reviews, and transition to production
FIRST 90 DAYS – WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- Take ownership of a major section of the radio (TX or RX), driving it from architecture through detailed design
- Provide strong RF design leadership, helping guide technical direction and mentor less experienced engineers
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 8–10 years of hands-on RF design experience
- Strong understanding of RF components, including ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, filters, and attenuators
- Experience with S-parameters, impedance matching, and cascade analysis
- Solid grasp of gain budgets, noise figure, linearity, and system-level RF performance
- Experience designing and implementing RF filtering solutions
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering with focus in RF, electromagnetics, or microwave theory
NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE
- Experience designing RF circuit card assemblies across UHF to E-band frequencies (especially L-band ~1 GHz)
- Background working on RF subsystems such as synthesizers, converters, and front-end electronics
- Experience with RF simulation/modeling tools (HFSS, AWR Microwave Office, ADS)
- Strong understanding of noise modeling concepts (Eb/No, BER, receiver sensitivity, noise temperature)
- Familiarity with temperature effects, impedance matching (standard and non-standard), and RF isolation strategies
Compensation:
$155,000 per year, starting base salary
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefits include:
-Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability insurance
-401(k) program with 6% match
