Project Manager – Data Center Infrastructure
Location: West Jordan, UT
Schedule: Onsite | Monday–Saturday. 12 Hour Work Days
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate for all hours worked over 40. Average Weekly Pay of $2,500
Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to support large‑scale data center infrastructure construction projects for a leading telecom/cabling contractor. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating logistics, material flow, workforce allocation, and scheduling across fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments.
The ideal candidate comes from a data center construction background and has hands‑on experience supporting cabling, fiber, or telecom infrastructure within hyperscale or colocation facilities. This is a fully onsite role requiring consistent field presence and close coordination with superintendents, field crews, vendors, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution
- Support day‑to‑day execution of data center infrastructure projects, ensuring work progresses in alignment with schedule and manpower plans
- Coordinate closely with field leadership to maintain production targets and resolve constraints impacting delivery
- Track project milestones, work plans, and daily production activities across multiple crews
Logistics & Material Management
- Manage material forecasting, procurement coordination, delivery schedules, and on‑site inventory
- Ensure cable, fiber, hardware, and equipment are staged correctly to support uninterrupted field production
- Work with vendors and internal teams to mitigate material shortages or delivery delays
Resource Allocation & Workforce Planning
- Assist in planning and allocating labor resources based on project schedules and scope requirements
- Coordinate technician schedules, crew assignments, and overtime needs to meet aggressive timelines
- Partner with field supervisors to balance manpower across active work fronts
Scheduling & Reporting
- Maintain and update project schedules using internal tools or scheduling software
- Track progress against plan and escalate schedule risks or conflicts as needed
- Support daily, weekly, and client‑facing reporting related to labor, materials, and schedule status
Site Coordination & Compliance
- Maintain strong on‑site presence to support field teams and ensure alignment with project plans
- Enforce site standards related to safety, access control, and data center operating procedures
- Participate in coordination meetings with internal stakeholders and client representatives
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Scheduler, or Project Coordinator or Related Position
- Direct experience in data center construction environments (telecom, cabling, fiber, or low‑voltage infrastructure)
- Strong understanding of logistics management, material coordination, and workforce scheduling
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑accountability, mission‑critical construction sites
- Ability to work onsite Monday–Saturday in West Jordan, UT
Preferred Experience
- Background with telecom, structured cabling, fiber optic, or low‑voltage contractors
- Experience supporting large‑scale or hyperscale data center projects
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (MS Project, P6, or similar)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate between field crews and leadership
Salary : $35 - $50
