2 years of project management experience

Commercial HVAC experience preferred

Background in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), mechanical contracting, or related industry experience

Comfortable working onsite and in live building environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

OEM or manufacturer experience

Mechanical contractor or MEP contractor background

PMP certification, PE license, or related credentials

Experience managing high‑dollar, multi‑phase commercial projects

Familiarity with large equipment replacement, retrofit, or turnkey installations

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Project Manager to join one of our large HVAC manufacturing and services clients in their San Antonio, Texas district. This is a full-time, permanent role that will be primarily office-based with frequent travel to customer job sites throughout the San Antonio area, including Austin and the Rio Grande Valley. In this role, you will be responsible for managing commercial HVAC turnkey projects from post-sale handoff through project completion. This includes owning project schedules, budgets, equipment ordering, subcontractor coordination, and overall execution. The Project Manager will partner closely with internal Account Managers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure projects stay on track and are delivered on time and within scope. Projects typically involve large commercial facilities such as hospitals, office buildings, schools, hotels, and campuses, and often range from $2M–$3M in value. This position plays a key role in freeing up sales teams by fully owning project execution once a deal is sold. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role, with an estimated 50/50 split between office work and field time, depending on the stage of each project. Most projects are local, with travel typically within one to two hours of San Antonio. Standard business hours are expected, with some flexibility based on project needs. A company vehicle may also be provided due to the field-based nature of the role. The salary range for this position is $90,000–$160,000 plus annual bonus, with final compensation determined by the client after interview based on experience, skill set, and project background.
