Job Summary
We are seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee phlebotomy operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and laboratory compliance. You will lead a team of phlebotomists, manage specimen collection and processing, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our clinical laboratory. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques.
This role ensures all routines and tests are completed accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and HR processes. Supervisors are expected to provide strong leadership, foster collaboration, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Each supervisor will oversee a total team of 35-38 individuals across all shifts
Must Haves:
- 3 years of phlebotomy experience
- 2 years of supervisory level experience or 5 years of lead experience
- Experience in a hospital setting
- CPT certification
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License (off-site specimen collection)
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising specimen collection and processing in compliance with all regulatory standards
- Stepping in for bench work as required
- Managing staff scheduling, training, and competency evaluations
- Assisting with drafting procedures and evaluating new products
- Act as a liaison between staff and management, providing technical expertise, coaching, and support, while identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Communicate clinical instructions to maintain specimen integrity, perform necessary clerical tasks, and serve as a resource for hospital departments.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the manager or director to maintain operational efficiency and quality standards.
- Participate in team meetings and attend educational and career fair events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $43.00 per hour
