- Exposure and/or experience with ERP systems
Plusses:
- Previous experience designing sheet metal enclosures

Summary:
Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their client's growing team in Kansas City, MO. This person should have experience in mechanical design engineering and SolidWorks, ideally within sheet metal product design. They will be playing a vital role in the company's continued growth through their hands-on involvement and design of globally recognized and successful electrical enclosures and distribution equipment products. This candidate should have at least 1-2 years of recent SolidWorks design experience and be comfortable working in an open team environment while excelling as an individual as well. They will be immediately joining a company with more than 90 years of industry-leading success and contributing to a growing division.
What You’ll Do
- Product design and development using SolidWorks
- Create and modify 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation for production
- Support the design of sheet metal enclosures and electrical housings
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Assist with product improvements, cost reductions, and manufacturability enhancements
- Utilize ERP systems to support engineering changes and production workflows
- Contribute to new product development from concept through release
Salary : $60,000 - $73,000
