Engineering Technician – Controls
Location: Charleston, SC
Rate: $35-45/hour
Position Summary
The Engineering Technician - Controls provides technical support for manufacturing operations, controls systems, and process improvement initiatives. This role supports compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISO, OSHA, and company procedures while assisting Engineering and Production teams with troubleshooting, commissioning, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
This position is responsible for day-to-day manufacturing floor support, technical documentation, execution of qualification protocols, and assistance with engineering projects. The role may expand as additional competencies are developed.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Relevant technical coursework required.
- Associate's Degree (AA/AS) preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA, ISO, and/or cGMP).
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for experience.
- Experience in Manufacturing Maintenance, Skilled Trades, Manufacturing Engineering, or Controls Engineering preferred.
- Industrial controls and automation systems.
- PLC, HMI, and VFD troubleshooting and programming.
- Electrical controls and instrumentation.
- Manufacturing equipment commissioning and startup.
- Process instrumentation and control systems.
