Job Description
The Business Analyst plays a key role within the IT Front of House and Back of House Product Management team to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for IT-related initiatives. This role involves engaging with both business and IT stakeholders to develop executive-level business cases that support strategic IT project decision-making. In addition to supporting larger project initiatives, the Business Analyst is capable of independently managing small-scale projects from initiation through completion. Leveraging strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, this individual helps ensure that IT system investments, upgrades, and replacements deliver maximum business value and align organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate discovery sessions by meeting decision makers and business stakeholders to define and document business, financial and/or operational requirements.
- Develop and document detailed use cases that reflect business needs, pain points and desired outcomes by analyzing current-state workflows through stakeholder interviews, system audits and workflow process mapping.
- Review, analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing IT systems and be able to develop and document strategies for improving or further leveraging those systems as well as documenting system replacement recommendations as needed.
- Be able to present those findings to stakeholders with actionable recommendations, including process improvements, applicable system upgrades, or new technology adoption.
- Be able to organize and moderate collaborative workshops with business and technical teams and be able to use PowerPoint presentations, mockups, wireframes and/or process diagrams to visualize proposed solutions.
- Collaborate and provide guidance in the planning, design, development and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing or new IT systems.
- Conduct research on new and existing software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed IT systems to aid leadership in making implementation decisions.
- Provide expertise during user acceptance testing, training and pre- and post-project deployments for upgraded or new IT systems as needed.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff members as needed.
Requirements
- 3 years of work experience within an IT Product or technology organization.
- Must possess strong documentation, research and problem-solving skills, along with extensive practical knowledge of IT terminology and concepts.
- Must have a solid understanding of project lifecycles and software development methodologies including how they apply to IT initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
- Must be highly self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently with minimal oversight.
- Must maintain a professional and polished appearance, demeanor, and communication style that reflects the excellence and reputation of the Wynn brand.
- An above average proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, as well as experience with diagramming and wireframing using platforms such as Figma or Visio, is required.
- Must be living in the Las Vegas area.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position.
Salary : $48 - $52
