The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.Must-Have QualificationsExperience:Minimum 1 year of ICU experience within the last 3 yearsOR a combined 2 years of Neonatal ICU and Pediatric ICU experience with successful completion of a written PICU competency examEducation:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institutionCertifications:Active Basic Life Support (BLS)Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Licensure:Active RN license in MDKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in critical conditionMonitor and interpret vital signs, administer medications, and manage advanced life-support equipmentCollaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plansEducate and support patients’ families throughout the care processMaintain accurate documentation and adhere to all hospital policies and safety standardsBenefitsPaid Time Off (PTO): 10 days after one calendar year of employmentFederal Holidays: 11 paid holidays annuallySick Leave: 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (capped at 56 hours/year; eligibility begins after 90 days)
