Job Summary

Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation of all rooms and surfaces.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures following health and safety standards to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely.
• Manage laundry services including washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens for residents.
• Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting, outdoor work, and furniture moving with proper technique to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas as needed, including patios or entryways.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific needs and provide personalized housekeeping services.
• Manage time effectively to complete daily tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies such as detergents are used correctly and stored safely according to protocols.
• Assist in housekeeping management tasks when required, including inventory checks and reporting maintenance issues.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning roles with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, surface sanitation techniques, floor care methods, and carpet cleaning equipment.
• Prior experience in laundry services and handling various cleaning tools is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and the use of cleaning chemicals.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs.
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces or outdoor furniture.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while multitasking in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is advantageous but not required.
