Job Summary
Atlanta Metropolitan State College, a four-year degree-granting institution of the University System of Georgia, is accepting applications for Part-Time STEM Instructor for the Upward Bound Summer Enrichment Program. The Summer Enrichment Program will be held at Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Responsibilities
This position will be teaching principles of STEM and Drone Building.
Required Qualifications
Familiarity with common flight controller setup workflows (e.g., Betaflight/INAV/ArduPilot or similar).
Experience teaching electronics assembly and soldering (if applicable).
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (preferred, not required).
Ability to develop clear, step-by-step build documentation and instructional resources.
Proposed Salary
The position does not offer benefits and it pays a $3000 Stipend for up to five (5) week Summer Enrichment Program.

- Demonstrated experience building and troubleshooting drones (hobbyist, engineering, robotics, maker, or related background).
- Experience teaching or mentoring teens (classroom, camp, tutoring, coaching, or similar).
- Strong lab management and safety-first approach in hands-on environments.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to beginner learners.
- Availability to teach in person on campus for the full program dates (June 1¿18, 2026), including both sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays.
