The Economics Department at Colby College invites applications for a full-time one-year visiting position for the 2025-26 academic year. A successful candidate must demonstrate their potential for excellence in teaching. Candidates will be expected to teach five courses spread across two academic semesters that contribute to our core curriculum and elective offerings, with the potential to teach multiple sections of the same course. We anticipate needs in teaching Principles of Microeconomics in the fall. Elective course offerings will depend on the successful applicants’ areas of expertise.

Colby is a highly selective liberal arts college located in Central Maine with high standards for teaching and research. Our students are motivated, intellectually curious, and easily engaged in the classroom and in independent research. Our department enjoys an active research culture including a research seminar series. These visiting positions include a stipend for transitioning to Central Maine and funding for conference travel.
