Position Summary
Responsible for recruitment, data collection, and patient follow-up for the coordination of oncology clinical research studies within the Office of Clinical Research at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center within an assigned disease group. The Clinical Research Assistant will collaborate with oncology staff, Principal Investigators and unit colleagues to meet recruitment goals and facilitate compliant research procedures per GCP guidelines. Responsible for administering informed consent, questionnaires, coordinating biospecimen collection, accurately collecting and entering data into databases, and assisting with other administrative duties as needed.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
Experience in clinical research field (strong preference for experience in human-subjects research);
Experience with obtaining informed consent and enrolling subjects into protocols;
Experience entering and managing data sets; medical chart review and direct patient contact in the inpatient hospital setting preferred;
Skill with Microsoft Office suite
