Summer Camp Assistants support camp instructors and staff in daily activities, assist with supervision, and help ensure a positive environment for all participants. This is a great opportunity for students interested in education, child development, recreation, or human services, or anyone who enjoys working with youth in a dynamic setting.
Summer Camp Dates
Session 1: June 15–18
Session 2: July 13–17
(Candidates available for both sessions are preferred but not required.)Duties/Responsibilities
Assist instructors with camp activities, projects, and games
Supervise campers and help maintain a safe, supportive environment
Help with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp materials
Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behavior
Serve as a positive role model for campersMinimum/Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
Currently enrolled college students encouraged to apply
Reliable, enthusiastic, and responsible
Enjoy working with children and teens
Strong communication and teamwork skillsSupplemental Information
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain active throughout the workday, including standing and walking, as required by camp activities
- Ability to move and set up materials and supplies (generally up to 25 pounds)
- Ability to assist with and participate in indoor and outdoor activities
- Ability to maintain awareness of and respond to camper needs and safety
