Salary & Compensation

- Advising and counseling students (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of campus enrollment policies, computing systems andprocedures (Preferred)
- Detailed knowledge of general academic requirements and regulations forundergraduate students (Required)
- Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices or procedures todefine the problem or objective; identify relevant concerns or factors; identifypatterns, tendencies, and relationships; formulate logical and objectiveconclusions (Required)
- Skill in employing fundamental counseling techniques with sensitivity; abilityto establish rapport and gain the trust of others; skill in listening perceptively (Required)
- Skill in negotiating: exchanging ideas, information and options with others toformulate policies and progreams, and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusionsor solutions (Required)
- Skill in writing logical, concise, clear, and grammatically correctcommunications, including correspondence, reports, booklets, memoranda,proposals, letters, surveys, statistical studies and projections. (Required)
- Skill in advising students on complex information under difficult conditionsand providing multiple options (Required)
- Ability to hold records, examinations and other materials in completeconfidence. Knowledge of privacy regulations (Required)
- Knowledge of campus student services and other resources to appropriatelyrefer individuals to the correct agency (Preferred)
- Ability to synthesize information and present it to faculty and administrativestaff members in order to maintain consistency within the program and todevelop new policies (Required)
- Ability to effectively work with faculty, students, University staff, and public (Required)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Summer Sessions policy and programs. (Preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree In related area and / or equivalent experience / training (Required)
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
- Age Requirement: Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired.
- Clery Act: The position is a designated CSA (Campus Security Authority) under Clery Act requirements.
