Position OverviewThe Business Professional Development Program (BPDP) at the KU School of Business is hiring two students to lead the Ambassador program. The BPDP Ambassador program provides community leadership and professional growth by providing a deepened knowledge of the career resources available to School of Business students. The students selected as lead will serve February 2026 through February 2027.

Throughout their employment, student employees will maintain and manifest positive actions that align with and support the Code of Conduct for the School of Business.Job DescriptionThe Lead Ambassador's job duties include, but are not limited to:
40% - Complete a ‘signature project’ by the end of their year-long tenure, to be decided in their first Spring term.
20% - Attend a majority of opportunities for ambassadors throughout each semester.
20% - Complete community and integrity cultivation, including but not limited to:

Must have served at least 1 full term as a BPDP Ambassador.

- Exemplify the expectations and qualities of BPDP Ambassadors in communication style, frequency, and overall reliability and professionalism.
- Plan and support monthly events to increase community and morale of the BPDP Ambassador team.
- Provide honest feedback about the program to continue to improve the experience of ambassadors and the worthwhile nature of the program.
- Promote the program to all classmates and colleagues – being the main spokesperson for the BPDP Ambassador team.
- Complete an individual review at the end of the role, including a 1:1 feedback debrief with the BPDP Coordinator.
- Co-interview and select new cohort of BPDP Ambassadors for upcoming year
- Co-choose the winner of “BPDP Ambassador of the Year” to be awarded each Spring for the previous year’s ambassadors
Required Qualifications
Must have served at least 1 full term as a BPDP Ambassador.
- Must be declared and pursuing an academic area affiliated with the School of Business (Majors, Minors, Certificate, etc.).
- This is an hourly/non-exempt position.
