- Driving a university-owned vehicle to deliver and collect campus mail.
- Campus Mail packaging, processing, and delivery.
- Library mail supply prep, packaging and processing, including computer documentation.
- Management of shipments to and from Watson Library (staging, loading & unloading of dock deliveries).
- Driving a university-owned vehicle to transport library materials between library locations.
- Delivery of copy paper to library offices.
- Collection of donated books.
- Assist library personnel with projects when needed (moving furniture, arranging work areas, etc.).
- Must have a good driving record as evidenced by application materials.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 9-12 hours per week as stated and evidenced in application materials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with campus, as evidenced by application materials.
- Reliability and punctuality (adhering to an agreed-upon work schedule), as evidenced by application materials.
- This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
- This position requires a valid driver's license, as confirmed by the department.
- The Mail Services office operates year-round on a Monday-Friday schedule. Semester schedules for student hires are set in coordination with existing workers’ available hours. Students generally work 10-20 hours per week in the Spring & Fall semesters and 20-30 hours in the summer. We are open Monday - Friday and are seeking students with availability to work some 8:00am-10:00am and/or 1:00pm-3:00pm shifts, with additional hours possible around these core times. Ideal candidates will be consistently available to work a minimum of 2-hour blocks of time and must be available to work a minimum of 9-12 hours per week.Additional Candidate InstructionsResume and cover letter preferred.
