Description
Provide support to the Dean of the Kinsley School of Engineering, Sciences & Technology. Contribute to the general needs of the Dean’s office of the Kinsley School. Work closely with the Dean, efficiently performing administrative and clerical duties, including administrative support for the departments within the Kinsley School. Assist the Dean in initiatives and services; perform general secretarial functions; manage calendars and associated tasks; assist with tracking the Kinsley School’s budget; manage external contacts, activities and communications; complete projects as assigned by the Dean; facilitate coordination and outreach with internal and external stakeholders in support of the school’s goals.

Productively contribute to the success of the Kinsley School of Engineering, Sciences & Technology, serving as a positive and professional representative of the school while working on behalf of the Dean.

Essential Functions
- Assist the Dean in general administration of the school 20%
- Handle incoming phone calls, mail, and email and requests therein 10%
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and organizing events, meetings, and other functions 10%
- Assist with special projects and initiatives on behalf of the School and College 20%
- Budget and Purchasing management for the Dean’s budget 10%
- Budget, Purchasing and administrative support for all School programs and faculty 10%
- Coordinate all conventional correspondence, travel, schedules, and administrative activities of the office of the Dean 10%
- Work with and coordinate efforts with Department Chairs within the School 10 %
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years administrative assistant/general office experience, preferably in an academic and/or executive setting
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service to administration, staff, faculty, students, industry, parents and the community including donors and board members
- Positive and courteous demeanor that fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment
- Computer efficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and related tools
- A proactive and ambitious approach to seeking and completing projects and tasks
- A strong work ethic and desire for training and professional growth
- The ability to work constructively with minimal supervision and under their own initiative
- The ability to multitask by effectively managing multiple responsibilities and attention to detail
