Responsibilities
This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive speech-language services and progress monitoring tools to enhance students’ communication skills and access to curriculum. Includes coordinating and managing the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process.
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language intervention using evidence-based practices. Implement individualized goals aligned with educational standards and IEP. Monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Coordinate case management including IEP development, scheduling, and documentation. Ensure timelines, procedural safeguards, and compliance requirements are met. Maintain accurate service logs and progress reports.
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and reevaluations. Interpret assessment data and prepare comprehensive reports. Participate in eligibility determination meetings.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, service providers, and families to support student achievement and educational access. Provide strategies and accommodations for classroom implementation. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- State of Florida Speech-Language Pathology license.
