Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Research Project Coordinator supports the overall development of research project(s). Assists with project design, management, and implementation. Promotes the project and serves as liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. May supervise students, provide general office assistance, create promotional materials, and assist in the development of other potential projects.

Additional Department Summary: This position will plan and coordinate internal and external training sessions, workshops, onboarding programs, and e-learning initiatives to ensure smooth execution, evidence-based and developmentally appropriate content, and participant engagement. Work includes responsibility for materials, oversight and implementation of training programs, and their outcomes. Develop and supervise Infant Toddler Specialists across the state by overseeing their training and implementation of coaching and mentoring to teachers. Maintain routinely scheduled communications with specialists, director, and funding agents. Support the program development and provide assistance to the director including identifying resources, trainings, and research to support the program goals. Plan and implement annual statewide conference, oversee daily operations such as data collection for reporting and relationships with contract personnel and direct activities in absence of Program Director.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some experience coordinating projects.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Infant and Toddler development and state and national issues related to the field of Early Childhood Education and Development. Leadership experience and knowledge of training techniques for adult learners. Experience with online training platforms. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, funders and external constituencies. Ability to supervise professional and support personnel. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently. Working knowledge of personal computers to include standard office software. Working knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, spreadsheets, and/or database. Ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, strong organizational skills, and good oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Child Development and one (1) year of experience in service delivery to children and/or families; OR Bachelor's degree in Child Development three (3) years of experience in service delivery to children and/or families. Leadership experience. Experience and leadership in the field of Early Childhood Education, specifically with Infants and Toddlers. Demonstrated experience with early learning project management or prior experience providing technical assistance in early learning projects and/or systems.
