Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Regional Recruiter (Cadet).The Regional Recruiter (Cadet) will recruit new students to UNG's Corps of Cadets by conducting in-person and virtual high school visits, attending college fairs, and presenting information sessions to prospective students in schools. In collaboration with Director, creates a comprehensive strategy for recruiting in assigned territory. Incumbent will 1) provide accurate and timely information about academic and co-curricular program offerings, services, costs and financial aid to prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, and other influencers; 2) expand and develop a network of relationships with JROTC instructors, counselors, coaches, community based UNG alumni, etc. to cultivate long term referral motivated relationships; and (3) expeditiously follow up with all new Corps inquires, applicants, and admitted cadets and their families to ensure they have all the information necessary to make an informed decision. Recruit extensively for students to attend the National Leadership Challenge (NLC) or Cadet Overnight Visit Experience (COVE). Work involves extensive travel throughout assigned territory with some overnight and weekend work days. Recruitment territory defined by the needs of the program.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for recruitment activities and achieving set recruitment goals as assigned. Maintain personal contact with prospective students and their parents, high school counselors, teachers and other influencers of prospective students from inquiry through enrollment. Conduct outreach via a variety of methods including visiting high schools, planning and conducting virtual outreach, attending high traffic college fairs, conducting admissions presentations and managing recruitment correspondence via the SLATE CRM, text, phone calls and meeting with individual students to answer questions related to admissions requirements, academic programs, financial aid, and questions regarding student and cadet life at UNG. Clearly articulate the value of propositions of an immersive 24/7 leadership development experience and potential careers in both the military and government agencies (e.g. NSA, FBI, or other three letter agencies). Promote the Georgia Military Scholarship as well as National Guard and Reserve military service opportunities.
- Plan recruitment outreach and travel in collaboration with the Director, Cadet Recruitment. Analyze travel return on investment, create reports and provide regular feedback on recruitment activities. Ensure all prospect related actions are recorded in SLATE to assist the Director in additional follow up with prospects and families. Represent Cadet Admissions at off campus recruiting events as directed. Extensively promote prospect attendance at the National Leadership Challenge (NLC) and/or Cadet Overnight Visit Experience (COVE).
- Extensively uses technology (CRM, Enterprise, and Microsoft products) to maximize new student engagement from inquiry to enrollment. Compile and analyze data used in making informed decisions regarding targeted recruitment and outreach strategies and efforts within assigned schools and markets.
- Assist in building Corps Legacy Recruitment Network (CLRN) within assigned territory by cultivating alumni relationships during travels and using those contacts as force multipliers (i.e. - surrogate representative as needed).
- Update the JROTC and High School Counselor database and other duties as assignments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to make strong presentations to groups of prospective students and parents.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with the SCT Banner student information system and Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Access/PowerPoint/Excel) is desired, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Admissions and/or Financial Aid and/or Sales & Marketing experience highly preferred.
- Experience working with youth and/or diverse population preferred.
- General understanding of the college admission process a plus.
- University of North Georgia graduate and previous member of the Corps of Cadets experience a plus.
