Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment and Enrollment Services, the Recruitment Counselor will plan and carry out in person and virtual recruitment and yield activities, including on and off campus, liaise with designated high school and community partners, and participate in direct recruitment activities to meet strategic recruitment, outreach, and enrollment goals. To achieve the successful performance of new student recruitment and enrollment, you will build strong working relationships with staff, administrators, and faculty. You will also leverage technology to support student success. You will work directly with prospective students, families, influencers, and campus stakeholders to ensure the achievement of strategies and benchmarks outlined in the College’s Strategic Plan. You will collaborate across the College to support the college’s equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. You will be responsible for promoting an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students, employees, and our local community, one in which every individual feels respected and valued. The following competencies are also required: demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a diversified environment, critical thinking, relationship building, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $58,979 - $70,119/year (Grade 3); Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience in accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full State benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hrs./week.

- Assists in the coordination and implementation of student recruitment activities to include outreach to high schools and community partners.
- Promotes the admission processes for all of the College’s academic programs - assists in the development and implementation of all recruitment programs and events both on and off campus.
- Advises prospective students and families on educational opportunities, academic program offerings and enrollment procedures.
- Represents the College at college fairs, career fairs, high school visits and other off campus recruitment activities as needed.
- Utilizes the Banner student information system, Ellucian Recruit CRM, and EAB Navigate to track and communicate with prospective students and applicants.
- Oversees, coordinates and customizes all campus visits, including school group visits.
- Serve as SEVP-approved Designated School Official (DSO) for international students.
- Collaborates with enrollment services departments, academic support programs and campus staff to coordinate admissions information sessions as well as enrollment events and activities.
- Performs administrative tasks in support of admissions success, including helping to compile admissions information, contributing to assessment activities and reporting.
- Contributes to a positive office environment and student-centered approach to unit activities.
- Creates an inclusive and supportive connection to all students; actively supports diversity.
- Periodically works evenings and weekends to participate in college enrollment/recruitment activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Sociology, Liberal Arts, or closely related field.
- Two (2) years’ experience and/or training involving public education, college admissions, academic advisement, or customer service; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body.
- A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required to travel to area high schools and recruitment sites.
- Ability to perform all essential functions.

- Familiarity with EAB Navigate or other similar educational technologies.
- Familiarity with Ellucian Banner and Ellucian Recruit CRM or other similar student information systems.
- Demonstrated experience in building a climate that elevates equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience working in a community college or a similar institution of higher education, community organization, or large institution.
