Examples of Duties
- Serving as the clinical coordinator for the program responsible for the coordination of practicum and internship experiences in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling masters programs
- Responding to inquiries regarding practicums and internship
- On-going connection with agencies and schools that serve as training sites for practicum and internship students
- Developing and fostering new sites and expanding sites in new locations as the digitally delivered program grows
- Continued support and inclusion of the collaborative counseling laboratory (TCCL)
- Advising students throughout the clinical phase of the program
- Onboarding students, sites, liaisons and University Supervisors
- Coordinating Supervision Assist
- Assisting program faculty and director to meet student needs
- Teaching in the Graduate Counseling program
- Attending program faculty meetings
- Other duties as assigned by Provost or designee
Required Qualifications
- An earned doctorate from a CACREP accredited institution of higher education to meet CACREP core faculty standards (ABD considered)
- Eligibility for Maine state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and/or certification as a School Counselor (Maine 075)
- Preparation and experience in clinical supervision
- Counseling experience in clinical mental health and/or school counseling
- Experience in supervising counselors in training
- Experience in counseling student practicum and internship placement and coordination
- Teaching experience in counselor education and supervision
- Commitment to the preparation of counselors
- Commitment to effective graduate teaching and clinical supervision as evidenced by prior experiences and/or future goals
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent networking skills and experience
