Responsibilities
Supports programs and initiatives of the Provost Office for the division of academic affairs. Produces, compiles, analyzes, and reports academic and administrative data for programs such as: Faculty Position Status Reports and various faculty and retention recruitment programs.
Oversees administrative processes for the Provost Office, related departments, and direct reports of the Provost. Activities include: Faculty assignments of responsibility, FACET reports, faculty and staff evaluations, faculty contracts, and faculty promotion and tenure, and outside activity disclosures. Other related departments and direct reports include Native and Indigenous Studies (NAIS), Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT), Graduation Planning and Strategies (GPS), Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC), Institute of Governance and Civics (IGC), Innovation Hub, and other centers and institutes.
Monitors rate, reviews rate variance reports, and submits appropriate HR and budget forms as related to position budgeting. Other related departments and direct reports include Native and Indigenous Studies (NAIS), Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT), Graduation Planning and Strategies (GPS), Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC), Institute of Governance and Civics (IGC), Innovation Hub, and other centers and institutes. Oversees the management of HR related transactions for the Provost Office, related departments, and direct reports of the Provost. Activities include: new employee onboarding, personnel action forms, time and leave entry/approval, administrative discretionary increases, administrative supplements, reviewing active appointments, verifying payroll charges, and other related tasks.
Manages, monitors, and reconciles various budgets for the Provost Office, related departments, and direct reports of the Provost specifically those established for operating activities (funding for employees, office operations, dean searches, and specific provost initiatives).
Manages and monitors HR related transactions and manages, monitors, and reconciles various budgets for Central Office departments including University Relations, University Communications, University Marketing, Opening Nights, and Compliance and Ethics.
Interprets University policies, procedures, and rules relating to Human Resources, Collective Bargaining, and University Accounting. Provides recommendation on the development and implementation of new programs, policies, and procedures for the Provost Office.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and six years experience related to administrative services or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to ten years.
