This position supports the mission and visibility of The Graduate School’s Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC) by coordinating events, communications, and administrative operations that enhance graduate student engagement and success by planning and executing GSRC events and initiatives, assisting with marketing and messaging across platforms, supporting the travel grant program, and collecting program data to inform continuous improvement. Through close collaboration with GSRC colleagues and campus partners, this position ensures smooth daily operations, consistent communication, and high-quality student-facing programs and services.
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of relevant experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Anticipated Salary Range
The anticipated salary range for this position is in the low to mid $40,000s, commensurate with education and experience.

Through close collaboration with GSRC colleagues and campus partners, this position ensures smooth daily operations, consistent communication, and high-quality student-facing programs and services.
- Supports the day-to-day operations and visibility of the GSRC by coordinating and planning event logistics, including room reservations, invitations, publicity, materials preparation, and day-of set-up. Assists the Director and Program Manager with planning and implementing the Graduate Student Resource Fair and other annual events. Contributes to events with other campus partners. Responsible for noticing all events and ensuring consistent messaging across notice venues, including GSRC website the campus calendar, announcements, social media, and communication with campus partners.
- Works in close coordination with the GSRC’s Director to support the GSRC travel grant program. Reviews and evaluates travel grant materials and develops related publicity for the travel grant program.
- Assists the GSRC Program Manager with coordinating, planning, and implementing marketing and media across GSRC and other graduate student success entities. Organizes a regular communication schedule between the Director and academic program staff, faculty, and students. Directly communicates with graduate students and liaises with campus partners and marketing entities to raise awareness of the GSRC’s services and events.
- Assists the GSRC Director, GSRC Student Success Analyst, and Associate Dean of the Graduate School in the development and administration of event feedback surveys. Collects and compiles data related to GSRC programs and services.
- Assists the Associate Dean with coordinating administrative operations for the Graduate School student professional development programs, including receptionist coverage, clerical duties, and special projects. Manages work orders, key and card access requests, supplies, inventory, and the GSRC’s joint calendar with other Graduate School offices.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
- Experience working with graduate students or in a higher education environment, particularly in student success, engagement, or academic support settings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Proficiency with common office and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM or event management systems, content management systems, and/or design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite).

What To Expect In The First 90 Days

- Month 1: Familiarizing yourself with the office, including staff within GSRC and the Graduate School; reviewing website and existing social media; becoming acquainted with calendaring systems and when each should be used; working with the Director and Program Manager to understand strategic goals of the office and co-developing social media and communications plans; creating new social media and marketing materials; booking rooms and events as needed; training in answering office emails, phone calls, and walk-ins, and directing students to other staff.
- Month 2: Helping organize GSRC promotional materials; reviewing orientation presentation and discussing improvements; accompanying GSRC staff at orientations and other tabling events to observe and meet students; meeting campus partners and participating in the logistical planning of GSRC’s annual resource fair.
- Month 3: Participating in welcome events for new graduate students, and creating social media introducing students to the GSRC and strategic resources for the start of the school year; finishing planning the GSRC resource fair and being present to guide our campus partners and students; cross-training in other office programs, like review of GSRC Travel Grant policy and applications.
