Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Postdoctoral Researcher with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanics, Chemical Engineering, or, Materials Science especially Polymer Science and Engineering. Students engaged in research in these fields are strongly encouraged to contact the PI.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, team-oriented, and rich in hands-on experience, including but not limited to: (i) mechanical design of experimental set-up, (ii) manufacturing at nano-micro-macro scale, and, (iii) test of material physical and chemical properties (i.e., mechanical, thermal, electrical, optical, morphological, topographical, rheological, tribological, surficial and interfacial interactions), (iv) and usage of scientific tools such as DMA, DSC, TGA, UV-Vis, SEM, TEM, AFM, triboindenter, rheometer, goniometer, tensiometer, profilometer, FTIR, Raman, WAXD, SAXS, SANS, as well as, (v) expertise in modeling/simulation tools like the Finite Element Method using ANSYS/ABAQUS/COMSOL or Molecular Dynamics using MATLAB/LAMMPS.
