The Postdoctoral Associate will work on a project to investigate and quantify neurochemicals in live brain tissue using fast-scan cyclic voltammetry (FSCV) and fiber photometry. The project(s) will integrate pharmacological and behavioral studies with real-time neurochemical measurements to clarify:

Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Associate will work on a project to investigate and quantify neurochemicals in live brain tissue using fast-scan cyclic voltammetry (FSCV) and fiber photometry. The project(s) will integrate pharmacological and behavioral studies with real-time neurochemical measurements to clarify:
- chemical mechanisms that underlie brain function,
- how the dynamic nature of the recording environment affects the chemical measurements themselves.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Neuroscience, Chemistry, Pharmacology or a related field, with a track record of productivity and innovation.
- Creative thinking skills and solid command of the related literature.
- Ability to work collaboratively with excellent communication skills.
- Solid background and experience in behavioral assays related to motivation, drug abuse/addiction, and/or pain.
- Experience with optogenetic/chemogenetic manipulations of brain circuitry.
- Experience in real-time electroanalytical or photometric measurements of neurochemical species
