The Division of Pulmonary, Asthma, and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is recruiting a Pediatric Pulmonologist with a potential focus on pediatric lung heart transplantation program at our main campus. The successful candidate will join the Division as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator Line. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford is nationally ranked #10 in Pulmonology by U.S. News & World Report. With over 35 years of experience, our highly specialized, multidisciplinary team provides the latest research driven care. We offer expert care, advanced interventions, and uniquely patient and family centered care, for some of the most complex, advanced lung and cardiac disease processes necessitating transplantation. Since 1986, our lung & combined heart-lung transplant program has completed 60 pediatric lung transplants and 42 combined heart-lung transplants. Our team works closely with experts from our Pulmonary & Cystic Fibrosis Center, Cardiothoracic Center, and the Center for Advanced Lung (CEAL) Therapies. Together, we provide treatment for the full range of chronic diseases that may require lung and heart/lung transplantation, such as cystic fibrosis, hereditable lung and pulmonary vascular diseases, to complex congenital heart conditions. We expect the successful candidate to be outstanding clinicians with dedication to teaching, mentoring trainees and evidence of a collaborative approach. Priority will be given to candidates that have an interest in or track record of making contributions to scholarly literature.
