The Part-Time Auxiliary Aid Student Specialist is responsible for the implementation of auxiliary aids and services for students with disabilities.
What you will be doing
Provides note-taking assistance to students with disabilities
Provides front desk coverage, including greeting students, providing general information on available services and eligibility procedures
Assists with daily operations, including scheduling student appointments and services
Assists with training Auxiliary Aids and Services staff as assigned
Supports retention and enrollment management initiatives
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.

The Part-Time Auxiliary Aid Student Specialist is responsible for the implementation of auxiliary aids and services for students with disabilities.
What you will be doing
Provides note-taking assistance to students with disabilities
- Assists students with disabilities in the ACCESS Lab(s) and provides academic support
- Assists with accommodated proctoring by monitoring students with disabilities during assessments
- Serves as a reader and/or scribe for students with disabilities
Provides front desk coverage, including greeting students, providing general information on available services and eligibility procedures
Assists with daily operations, including scheduling student appointments and services
Assists with training Auxiliary Aids and Services staff as assigned
Supports retention and enrollment management initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of experience working with students with disabilities
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Possess organizational and clerical skills, including computer application skills in Microsoft Office, Navigate and Peoplesoft
- Possess solid judgment and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrates accuracy and proficiency in note taking skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Knowledge of HIPPA and FERPA protocols, and handling of confidential documentation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
- Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff

Salary : $16 - $20
