What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Housing and Student Life, UCR Extension position at Inside Higher Ed?
The Manager of Housing and Student Life, UCR Extension manages and leads a variety of services and collaborations that enhance student life for UCR Extension students, particularly its visiting international student population, and assists with the management of the on-campus residential program for UCR Extension, International Village Apartments. The position is responsible for community development in the residential area via Community Assistant (CA) recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation; co-curricular programming; advising, conflict mediation, policy enforcement and adjudication; on-site crisis and emergency response coordination; resident communications; and special projects. The position collaborates with staff on academic year and summer programs including visiting groups, quarterly registrations & orientations, and socio-cultural programming. The position serves as a primary liaison with third-party housing partners and campus partners in International Affairs, UCR Student Life, Student Recreation Center/Outdoor Excursions, and other services, resources and programs that enhance the student life experience. The Manager of Housing and Student Life, UCR Extension position is an in-person position, based at UCR Extension with regular office hours at International Village Apartments. Finalists will be asked to provide a 15-minute presentation related to student life and community building as part of the interview process. The full salary range for the Manager of Housing and Student Life, UCR Extension is $57,700 - $99,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $65,000 annually. Salary offers are based on a variety of considerations, such as related education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
