Educational And Experience Requirement
Bachelor’s degree. Four years of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
This position requires regular travel and is not a remote role.
Nature & Purpose Of Position
Manages and coordinates day-to-day and long-term programmatic processes, including program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation, to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the LEMIT program.
Primary Responsibilities
Manages assigned Bill Blackwood LEMIT programs and oversees the activities of assigned staff. Develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving program goals. Develops, implements, and evaluates program materials. Responds to client/participants’ inquiries, whether by telephone or email, in a timely manner Markets programs in the assigned area for program participants Makes appropriate, relevant, and timely posts to the institute’s social media channels. Prepares and maintains required records and reports consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and policies Identifies operational improvement needs and recommends necessary changes. Monitors program budgets and manages expenditures. Travels regularly to facilitate training programs and to attend conferences, trainings, and meetings with law enforcement agencies on behalf of LEMIT and SHSU. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications
Requires knowledge of local, state and federal laws with the ability to manage business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel and other agencies. Must have excellent computer skills, experience in coordination skills and broad understanding of financial budgets. A strong communication skill set is preferred. This position will require travel.
