General Description
Pay for this position is based on a 10.5 month contract.
The permanent responsibility of a faculty member is to provide the most effective instruction possible in his/her discipline. Supervision is received from appropriate supervisor. The faculty member works to insure that his/her instruction is meeting the educational needs of students.
Requirements
This position requires a Cosmetology Operators license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and a certificate of cosmetology instructor training of 500 hours or more if the candidate did not previously hold a Cosmetology Operators Instructors' license prior to September 1, 2021, and a minimum of three years relevant work experience. This position is required to meet minimum requirements for teaching at the post-secondary level set by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and accrediting agencies for individual programs. A criminal background check is required.
